Blagojevich Channels Elvis On Newly Launched Website
Just two days before another former aide enters a plea agreement, former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich over the weekend launched a website to “speak his mind” in the “campaign of his life to clear his name.” The trial of the former governor on a 16-count corruption indictment is scheduled for next year.
The site, www.governorrod.com, says Blagojevich “asserts he is innocent of all charges and looks forward to his day in court” and that “in the meantime, he’s not holding back… He’s simply speaking his mind and telling the truth!” The launch followed an appearance by the 52-year-old Democrat at a Chicago block party singing Elvis, and several weeks after his wife participated as his proxy on a celebrity reality television show set in Costa Rica.
