Pet thieves wrestle python outside McDonald’s
As astonished fast-food customers looked on, the pair tussled with the five-foot snake – named Boris – which they are believed to have stolen from a Melbourne pet shop.
Boris was described as ‘not happy’ at being removed from his container in the shop by the men, aged 22 and 24.
‘In all honesty, it’s just a case of dumb and dumber,’ Detective Sergeant Andrew Beams remarked to public broadcaster ABC.
‘Anyone who gets out there with a one-and-a-half metre python in a McDonald’s automobile park, they are pretty dumb.’

Boris, now safely back in his container at the shop, has ‘a very nice personality’ and played up because he was upset at not being handled properly, according to Jodie Graham, the owner of Totally Reptiles.
‘He was a bit cold and stressed so I have him in the tank warming up. I am just glad to get him back,’ she added.
After being arrested, ‘dumb and dumber’ were charged with offences including burglary and theft.
