Smoking snake
A snake in Taiwan is addicted to cigarettes.
Three-year-old pit viper Po, who lives in Taipei, has developed a smoking habit after stealing his owner’s discarded butts.
Owner Sho Lau – who smokes 20 nicotine laden cigarettes a day himself – now grants his pet to smoke twice a day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
He said: “He is very tame and one day when I threw a cigarette butt away he went for it and seemed to enjoy having it in his mouth.
“He gets very agitated if I do not have any to spare.”
